Lotte Kestner - China Mountain (2008)

I've been listening to a lot of girls lately. This is one of them and that sounds totally sexist. Oh well.  Lotte Kestner is the solo work of Anna-Lynn Williams of Trespassers William from Seattle. If you listen to Trespassers William then you know what you are in store for. Slow, shoegazzy, ambient folk stuff, but the only difference between the band and Just Anna-Lynn's solo work is her solo work is much more stripped down and quiet. It's like Cat Power and Grouper's new record combined with less drone.

This kind of stuff is good for this time of year, so if you like quiet, timeless melancholy folk music then this is for you. Please enjoy this and the next few posts.
